Francisco Xavier Carrascal Esquivel

Francisco Xavier Carrascal Esquivel is a fourth-year Computer Engineering undergraduate student at the University of Girona, Spain. He is currently undertaking his curricular internship at the Broadband Communications and Distributed Systems (BCDS) research group at the Institute of Informatics and Applications (IIiA), University of Girona.

During his internship, he has contributed to the development and improvement of the group’s web platform, adding new functionalities to the administration area and enhancing its design and usability. His forthcoming tasks include the containerization and deployment of research applications using Docker, with the aim of improving scalability and maintainability of the group’s systems.

His main academic and professional interests lie in the fields of software engineering and web development. In addition, he is strongly motivated to further explore the area of cybersecurity, which he considers a promising field for his future career.
